Overall, I think it is a pretty nice piece that has a lot of good features in it.
I'll start with the good things.
1.rate overall concept from 10-1 (10 is best).
7 points

2.comment on the story structure (plot, rising action, characters, etc)
The story is quite successful because of the clear and interesting information that you provided. I felt, however, that it got a little bit redundant towards the end because of the same transitions, very similar position of the text (in the bottom)

3.• rate overall visual form/narrative quality from 1-10 (10 is best).
9 points

• comment on how the story is told (visual quality, point-of-view, appropriateness, level of creativity, etc).

The facts are presented very clearly, the points of view are varying, which is visually pleasing. I also appreciate the blurring of some parts of the images, because it makes me focus on the important parts. I already mentioned that the text is a little bit redundant.

• rate overall use of duration from 1-10 (10 is best).
6 points

• what makes these durations good or bad (can you read/see everything necessary, is the pace too slow/fast, etc)?
The facts do not stay on the screen long enough for me to comfortably read it. I kept rewinding. The duration of the images is working well, but because of the inconveniences with type, I could not focus on them long enough. Also the circled images could stay a little bit longer

• rate overall use of motion from 1-10 (10 is best).
9
• what makes these movements good or bad (appropriateness, character/quality, etc)?
You did a good job of keeping the camera steady and professional. The lighting could be a little bit better, but it's not a big issue. The movement of the camera is not distracting, so you did a good job on that too.

• rate overall use of transition from 1-10 (10 is best).
10 points

• what makes these transitions good or bad (appropriateness, creativity, do they overpower the content or augment it)?
The transitions are appropriate to the context and they do not overpower the information.

• describe the hierarchy of communication channels (image, text, voice, music, sfx) and their relationships. what makes the mix of channels effective or ineffective?
It seems that right now that all the channels working well together. The use of white text on blurry surfaces is a nice idea that helps build hierarchy. In the "Language" part, however the white text competes with the image.

• does this project attempt to break with convention in how it presents information?
- if so, what makes it successful or not in its attempt?
- if not, what makes it successful or not, despite it being conventional?

I don't thing the work is conventional, but it is well-done and the information is clearly presented. The work is sensitive to both sound and visual information. It also has a nice pensive mood to it that works well with the overall theme.
